A recent study indicates that regular coffee consumption may prevent the recurrence of breast cancer. The researchers say, these benefits can be obtained by diligent alcohol two cups of coffee per day.
Researchers at Lund University in Sweden believe that coffee may increase the effects of drugs. They analyzed 600 patients with breast cancer in southern Sweden for more than five years. Approximately 300 participants taking tamoxifen , a commonly prescribed after surgery for breast cancer drug.

Maria Simonsson , researchers at Lund University said , patients taking the drug with two or more cups of coffee a day are less likely to report a cancer recurrence . The results were compared with those who did not drink coffee , but taking the drugs .
" What about coffee interacts with the drug are still unknown. Yet , there is a theory that says that coffee can activate tamoxifen and make it more efficient ," said Simonsson .
Researchers already linking coffee consumption with a reduced risk of certain types of breast cancer. Caffeine has also been shown that the effect may inhibit the growth of cancer cells.
Helena Jernstrvm , professor of experimental oncology at Lund University said he and his team wanted to know more about how lifestyle can affect the treatment of breast cancer.
Nevertheless, this study is not the first study to show an association of coffee with the treatment of cancer. Researchers from Harvard Medical School found that women who drank three cups of coffee per day had a 20 percent risk of developing lower skin cancer than those who drank less than one cup per month.
